Our Mission is to preserve the natural landscapes and cultivated gardens and to develop and exhibit plant collections for the education and enjoyment of the public.
A 755 acre botanical garden, arboretum, and conservatory owned by Michigan State University and featuring annuals, bulbs, perennials, shrubs, trees, and tropical plants of both native and exotic origin. Plant collections include the Harper Collection of Dwarf and Rare Conifers, The Benedict Hosta Collection, and the Bonsai Collection. There are six miles of paved roads throughout the gardens and arboretum, plus over ten miles of hiking trails.
