Dragon House Restaurant

Prior owners of this location where Chinese food has been served for years had a nice lunch buffet and for dinner menu service was available. The new owners have made this location into menu service only and offer great lunch specials Monday through Saturday. Overall, the food is very good and freshly prepared to order. Do miss the prior ownership but the new ownership is primed on providing quality, Chinese food at reasonable prices. We often order our meals to go and service is always friendly and competent.

The food is great! They closed the dining room at 8:30 on a Tuesday when they claim that the dining room shuts down one half hour before the kitchen, which was scheduled to close at 9:30, causing me to have to take my food to-go and drive all the way back home to eat before continuing on my way back to Albuquerque from Rio Rancho. When I called to address this they basically told me they were sorry, but it depends on the business level of the evening. If that is so, why have business hours? Why not just close the dining room at 6 when you feel like it, or 7:30 if that is what the night calls for? What expectation should one have to show up when they claim they are open, and then suddenly are not? I will not be driving back to this restaurant to eat, knowing that I might be turned away if I want to sit in the dining room. Don't waste your time.

My friends, my mom and I enjoyed this place very much. Food was delicious and warm. The young lady was friendly and worked hard with our orders and made sure we had everything that we needed. One of my friends took us to this place on a Tuesday afternoon due to the good prices and quality of food. We really liked it. Very quiet and friendly atmosphere. Soup was delicious and my friends kept talking about the chili, nutty sauce that comes with it. I ordered a different kind of soup but they complemented theirs highly. Mine was good too.

The Food was very good. The Hunan has Beef, Chicken and Shrimp (4). It also had broccoli, celery, onions, pea pods, carrotsginger and a tasty sauce. It also came with a bowl of Rice. The reason I gave Dragon House three stars was because the waitress never came back to see if everything was alright. To me that's important and should be part of good service. When she did come back, it was to deliver at my bill. If service is not important, this might be a good choice. If your like me it is important. Next time I might do carry out!

Crab Rangoon’s were great! Little or no onions was good to see. Price for what we got was very reasonable. From our house to this restaurant, we pass at least 4 other Chinese food establishments, but the extra mileage is easy for the good food and service @ Dragon House Restaurant.
