El Dorado State Park

I love this lake because of its size, cleanliness, and beauty. I would recommend everybody to visit this lake. Maybe come flooded during the Spring but in the summer it is a fun place to be. Not a fan of the trees in the water in some parts of the lake but I often enjoy fishing and floating in the lake to keep cool. Has a fairly good sized Marina And plenty of camping spots for any kind of camp or whether it's just for the day or for the whole weekend.

Clean campgrounds & nice boat ramps. Everyone is really nice except the guy who runs the bait store inside Bluestem Point. He is very rude & expensive at that! He also doesn't like people using credit or debit cards so he will charge a fee. We left & went all the way back into town to buy all our supplies at Walmart & Anglers Bait & Tackle. I would advise getting your bait & supplies in El Darado before heading out to fish or camp. Overall El Dorado State Park is well taken care of & if it weren't for the rude guy at the Bluestem Bait & General Store I would have given it 5 stars.

Always a blast! Staff are great! Campsites are clean! Park always shows improvements! Excellent place to spend the day, night, or week with family and friends!
