El Gallo Giro Mexican Restaurant And Tequila Bar

It's inexpensive. That's the nicest thing to say about it. Service was fine, food was about what you'd expect if you were right on campus. But it's not. The free chips, salsa, and beans were good and the best tasting food. That's how it got up to 3 stars for me.

We really enjoy this restaurant! It is lively and the food is authentic. They have a great happy hour, with tasty $3 margaritas, chips & salsa. The service is prompt, and food is well presented. Only downfall? It's way too easy to overeat here!! 😢

I’ve loved his restaurant since they opened here and was a very frequent customer. Then they changed their portion size to be smaller, and either raised or kept their prices the same. And the food quality changed. My favorite dish changed to a totally different taste. Very disappointed. That was a knock, and we quit going for a while. We decided to try it again, and their portions were back up a little. The food flavor was back to normal, so we started going back. Then one night they served us burned chicken. Two of us. I mean burned blackened chicken. I complained and the changed my dish, but not my husbands, even though his chicken was just as burned. We quit going again. Then eventually tried again. Because you know every person and every restaurant can have its occasional bad day. They served us tomato juice as salsa. It had no solid pieces of anything. It was just watery salsa juice. I asked for some salsa and showed the waitress the watery tomato sauce in the dish. She just left and never brought salsa. So, we’re not going again. Too bad, I loved their food and service but they keep trying to cut cost, and it hurts business.

Great food always eating something different. The street tacos are my favorite. People are nice!! Taco Tuesday is good. Clean bathrooms. Great drinks

You seriously cannot go wrong! The staff treats you so nice! The guy singing in the kitchen is the Best!! The food is so good and the margarita's are even better!!!!! I love El Gallo Giro!!!!
