Sockeye Brewing

Thoroughly disappointed. Ordered the boneless wings and some chili. Menu stated that it was made with steak. There were two little pieces of steak at the bottom of my chili bowl. My chili bowl the size of something that I would use to serve a customer extra dressing in. For the bargain price of four bucks. Nope. The Boneless Wings, we're literally breast chicken cut and quickly deep fried. No breading - you were eating a naked chicken breast with sauce. That's all it was. Beer was okay, a little on the bitter side for everything I tried. Service was okay, friendly but slow and constantly forgetting things. So for a small cup of chili and half a breast of chicken I walked out of there for 12 bucks. Wouldn't go back.

Service is usually pretty quick. Good beer rotation. The nachos are huge, and the burgers, ahi tuna burger, and pretty much everything we have eaten has been fantastic. Super cheap beer and music on Tuesdays also a big plus, unless you want a quiet evening and which case the music is a bit of a surprise

This is the 'Cheers' location for Sockeye. Homey atmosphere with good service and decent bar food. Excellent stout with growler fills and membership discounts available. Don't like the aluminum cans for their retail product - Sitting in the cans for a long time make it concentrate. Brewing in aluminum and kegging it is only there a short time so not ideal / tolerable but canning in aluminum concentrates it even more especially when it sits for extended periods.

One star because the tap water wasn't too bad. This place was a HUGE disappointment. First of all, they don't even sell their Mango IPA at this location. Ok. I can live. Ding number 2, they had a live band (which drew us out to this location in the first place) but only about 250 square feet of space to sit where you could actually see (or HEAR). Ok, lesson learned, if you want a seat get there early! The real kicker, and the well deserved reason for this 1 star review is...the food undeniably SUCKED. Worst meal we've had in years! From the french fries to the french dip it was terrible--Tough, chewy and flavorless. My husband got the Chicken Bowl which was absolutely disgusting--A total waste. Needless to say, we will NOT be back. Ever. Positives? The service was fair.
