Westys Garden Lanes

I've never been one much for bowling. Often times lane balls hurt my hands and I don't enjoy the sport enough to invest in my own ball. We came this particular time for a birthday party for a kid. We all had a great time. The staff was all super nice and the facility was clean. I honestly never thought I'd have so much fun at a bowling alley.

Nice bowling alley. Good selection of balls, and the shoes were clean! They have food and drink available as well as a bar if you'd like. I went in the afternoon, and it wasn't crowded at all.... many lanes were available. The scoring system that they use works very well and keeps the game moving along. If you want to bowl, then this is a pretty good option to try!

Westys is a fun, clean place to bowl. They do get busy during the week because of leagues. I would highly recommend calling ahead. They have two lanes open for public bowling and we got a spot in line to use one of those lanes. One night we were told we were second in line. Let's just say when we finally went to ask if a lane was ready for us yet, there were two new groups bowling in the public lanes. So much for being second in line after waiting 2.5 hours. On a previous night we got a lane no problem when we walked in. Although one time we were told we couldn't rent shoes. We showed up after some of our friends and when we went up to rent shoes the gentleman told us "they're almost done, why would you need shoes." Our friends were playing more than one game and they only paid for one. I understand where he was coming from, but I think it's bad for business to not at least ask some questions instead of telling a customer flat out no. Our friends ended up going to the counter and paying for two more games and we were able to rent shoes and pay for our games at that time. The cafe is great. Super friendly, and one time we had someone taking our order from our lane, and she was great. The service at the bar is god awful. The gentleman bartender is very grumpy all the time. He runs around like mad and complains under his breath every time we interacted with him. Literally we ordered he mumbled, he brought us our drinks and asked for payment and mumbled 'of course' because we said no to a tab, he gave us our receipts to sign and grumbled again even though I thought we left very gracious tips for his rude service. The food is decently priced for what you get and it is quite good. The drinks from the bar are also fairly decent in price compared to other bars in town. It is a large place, so even if the parking lot is full, chances are there is a place to sit or play pool if you need to wait for a lane to open. Overall it's a decent bowling alley, especially when there aren't a lot of choices in town on a weekend. Despite the unappetizing service, we always have a good time.

Fun place to hang out for any age. Inexpensive and lots of different options for whatever you're feeling. Full bar services and decent food too for a great price! Best cosmic bowling I've seen.

Great place to have fun with friends or family! The only reason it didn't get a five-star was because we had called ahead of time to reserve lanes and we're only 15 minutes out. They gave him away so we had a delay in our entertainment time. Overall it's a great electronic system that keeps your score. You can even put your own personal photos on there and it has a lot of different themes to choose from.
