So I had the (bad) luck to interact with the consul Anita Demeter and another lady called Nicolette , and a gentleman (there nothing gentleman - like in his behavior) called Peter. First of all it is impossible to reach them within working business hours and even if you leave a message (I did, 4 times) they will NEVER actually call you back. The lady Nicolette hang up the phone on me saying everything is on their website. How rude are these people! Are all Hungarians like that!!!??? I'm so disappointed , how can I report them to their authorities .

I have to agree with another recent reviewer: Dr. Anita Demeter and Mr. Peter Gyombolai are awesome! We met with them at a Consular Day, and despite that they ended up being far behind schedule (due to unexpected & repeated computer issues), they were very kind and patient as we applied for passports for my children and me. We did not expect such graciousness, thank you!
Keep in mind the fees on the consulate/embassy websites may not be up to date, and may not include extra fees ($15-20 each?) for Consular Day if you attend one of those off-site Consular Days.

The previous team was excellent (Sandor Istvan) but the new consuls are a disaster. I've been calling them and emailing them several times regarding an issue, and they just don't seem to cooperate!!! They have this attitude that they make you a favor! You guys don't make me a favor, it's your duty to serve your fellow citizen away from our home country! I recommend to our prime minister to bulldozer everything down, and build a new building and put respectable people to work there. Both the building and the people look like leftover communist remains. Shame.
