Overall, I consider ENT Carolina’s staff and Dr Yelverton as the best ENT group in Western North Carolina.
Costs: For each visit the cost was in line with what every ENT group charges; however, for that “in line cost” we received “world class medical insight”. It would be impossible for them to provide this level of care at a lower price.
This was the second time I visited this facility. The first time was a few years ago with my spouse. For both visits, we had significant health issues that had been unsuccessfully treated elsewhere for a long time. Dr Yelverton and the staff took the time necessary to clearly understand the history, investigate the issues, recommend a treatment plan, and explain the likelihood of positive results and the path to recovery. He explained the path forward if the current plan was successful as well as the other, less likely, paths forward.
I especially appreciated that care and effort that everyone took to understand how we ended up at this point, and the failed solutions we already had tried.
I would highly recommend Dr Yelverton and ENT Carolina to anyone requiring their special skills.
CRITICAL: A key part of our success at ENT Carolina was that we spent two hours before the visit writing up a detailed medical history and list of current and recent prescriptions. That information allowed the staff to completely understand our complex issues, and, the off site preparation allowed us the time to make sure we hit all of the key points and make sure we hadn’t left anything out. If you want to receive full value from the skills this team can provide, I highly recommend you take the time to prepare first.

I will not use these people again..They make you pay your copay just to get past the front desk into the treatment area. Then bill you again for whatever service is provided.
Because of my experience here I will have my own personal policy. I will have all cost explained to.me before allowing treatment. I will ask for a cash price versus filing on my insurance. Any medical provider who refuses to do so will not see me as a patient. I will get up and walk out which is what I started to do in the first place here. Never again will a medical provider hold me hostage.
Carolinas Ear Nose Throat I hope you are this.
One star is even too much here.

Wonderful caring staff. Dr. Bailey is brilliant! I noticed alot of negative reviews on here, but none of them are about the actual care you received. If you're unhappy with your copay get better Insurance. My insurance isn't the best, $7000 out of pocket deductible! I had a very expensive procedure done "parotidectomy" plus several appointments including a FNA biopsy and an endoscopy. ENT Carolina was VERY helpful and understanding. They put all my charges on a LOW affordable monthly payment plan so I could get the care I needed without affecting my quality of life. Thanks ENT Carolina ❤️

A lot of people seem unhappy with this place but I've found them to be kind and helpful. The appointment fee is a bit high, but the service is worth it to me. My doctor truly cares about my condition and goes the extra mile to try to help. I'll be heartbroken to leave this practice for another specialist.

Horrible! Asked them before treatment if they took my insurance. The co-pay was $50 which I paid. Later I received notice from my insurance company that they refused payment. Contacted their office. Was told not to worry about it that they were having trouble with billing. Later I received a bill from them for over $400.00. Called again. Was referred to to billing in Gastonia office. The woman was very rude. Told me that my particular insurance plan was not covered. She also said that it was my responsibility to know that my plan wasn't covered. So, according to her, even though they told me that they took my insurance, it was still my fault for not contacting my insurance company first. Never again
