Huge place with very knowledgeable people. So many cool things to see and touch! There's a SR-71 Blackbird there and I loved telling my grandson about it. Reminded me of my father doing the same for me like 40 years ago, a great memory. Could spend all day there easily. Great play areas for kids also, they loved it. Will go again if we can.

First trip was pretty quick, as we had to get back on the road, but we'll definitely be going back. The flight half is cool - and the Spruce Goose is an engineering marvel - very open, and informative, but what could be easily missed is the Space half, and that is more of a museum experience, with great historical details and displays.
We did not attend a theater show, but I expect next time we will.
For parents of playground-aged children, you'll like the one there. A very tall rocket tower is the highlight.

This means a lot since I'm a huge aviation buff but this has got to be the best air museum I've ever been too. Fantastic displays, clean, and we'll kept. I'm pretty sure the B17 would start and run. Of course the Spruce Goose is the main attraction and is truly a sight to behold. We took the tour and it was fantastic! I hope to go back again someday.

I went here specifically to see the Spruce Goose. And it is impressive. But I hate being charged twice. First, the museum entry fee. Then ANOTHER fee to tour the cockpit of the Spruce Goose - which is HIGHER than the entry fee.
Next problem: A lot of displays are REPLICAS. I'm not sure I've ever run across so many at a MUSEUM.
Third problem: Your entry fee includes a movie. This is an AVIATION museum. The movie was about DINOSAURS. Really??
Fourth problem: The snack area in the main building was CLOSED. You had to go to the Space Building to get any refreshments.
Fifth problem: Once there - even MORE replicas. And mostly about RUSSIAN space achievements - or so it seemed.
Overall problem: The recorded short videos were too low to be able to hear over the din of workers banging away at sometbing elsewhere in each building. And a few interactive exhibits were flat-out broken. The quality of the signs and graphics were not great - some too far away to read, and many faded by age.
Kids might enjoy this place, but I mostly enjoyed the outside Walk Through the Planets, embedded in the plaza sidewalk area. And that's just sad.

Worth every penny. Friendly staff, and family friendly place. Lots of things to explore and see. The rocket launch simulator room (in the space building basement) never gets old. We try it ever time we come. The most amazing thing to see is the SR-71, and the next best thing is the Spruce Goose.
