Extra Space Storage

We needed to find storage quickly and nearby our home. We first called and spoke with John at this location. He was kind, patient and understanding. He assured us he could help and we arrived later in the day to see the options available. John remembered us and pulled up the information he asked us about right away! John took us to view the storage unit and let us know about our options. We had an appointment to get to so John held our unit for us until we returned. Upon our return John continued to be patient and helpful. A week after our initial visit we decided we needed a bit more room for our short term storage needs. We called back to check and John remembered us again! On our second visit we encountered the same employee who was understanding and patient. John is an exceptional employee and really makes any emergency you bring him seem like not such a big deal! We will continue to bring our business here and recommend this facility and John to our friends and family. Thanks again!

Brian was most helpful to me as this was my first time using a storage unit. Being a prior military spouse, now widow, he made it very painless for me. He is a great asset to your company. He was very friendly, informative but most importantly compassionate To my needs! Thank you Brian!

As a very verbose person, I'll provide a short review: This location is manned by a very rude and socially inept man named John. Prices are high compared to competitors, something easily overlooked if staff showed the slightest evidence of caring for customers. John will try to hard sell you and will try to make you buy his insurance - if you stay long enough to let him get through his rushed sales pitch. Shop elsewhere! Lots of other places with friendlier employees! To top it off - He asked me to leave him a review on Google since he's apparently incentivised to do so? Well here you go John, be careful what you wish for. Pro tip - you can use your own insurance at any storage facility. Don't waste your money - use what you're already paying for oh and one more time - Shop elsewhere! Now for the more detailed account: I looked up options for self storage near my home as I'm planning a re-model very soon and will need to store several rooms of furniture and personal items. I found several positive reviews for Extra Space Storage so I went to the closest location to my home - the Stetson Hills facility. When I arrived a man named John seemed quite annoyed to see me. I must have interrupted him in some way. I explained to him what I needed and he immediately jumped into a "close the sale" speech. Having not seen the property or which units might be available, I asked him if he would mind showing me around before I made up my mind. He audibly sighed and reluctantly agreed. My tour was rushed and I could tell he did not have any interest in my needs. We arrived back at the office and he immediately tried to sell me on a unit. He must not have been listening - I had already told him I would need the unit in two weeks or so. Not wanting to repeat myself I told him that I would consider it once I shopped around. He became flustered and immediately told me that when I returned I would need to bring proof of home owner's insurance or purchase a plan with them. He emphasized that using my own insurance would risk an increase in rates for my home owner's plan and encouraged me to consider one of his plans. At this point I was thoroughly put off so I just left. As I was turning to leave he asked me to leave a review on Google because it would apparently "really help him out." The audacity!!! For anyone looking for a company with friendly employees who care about your needs - look elsewhere! How presumptuous to ask me for a sale on a stupid insurance policy after obviously ignoring my needs and not listening to what I had to say. Goodbye!

Brian helped me set up a storage unit, to hold all my furniture from a move. He was knowledgeable, and made sure to give me his full attention. When I expressed concern about security (I've had a unit broken into in the past), he made sure to show me the camera views, as well as discuss the insurance options, and standard operating procedures. He was also great at discussing the size options, without me feeling pressured into getting more than I need!

I originally obtained a storage unit here when I thought I would only need it for three months, however I ended up using it for an entire year. When it was time to leave, they quickly responded nicely and allowed me to finish the month to ensure I had enough time to move. The facility is kept clean, the storage units are amazing! I will be coming back here if I need another storage unit!
