Freight House Restaurant

We had the grilled chicken. It was very good. Portion size is large and tasty. Also had the potato skins appetizer which was extremely good. Parking is ok, restaurant sits right next to railroad tracks with the occasional train going through. If you love trains, as I do, the occasional train is a bonus. We will be back.

Good food and friendly staff. As with all my dining adventures food allergies play a large part in choosing a place to eat. The staff was very attentive to my needs however they were less than knowledgeable about their food. That aside it took an unusually long time to get our food. I'm used to extended wait times but this was a good half hour more than normal. That being said I'm happy they took the time to prepare for me, some restaurant's in the south are clueless. The food was good, the service was great, but at the end of the day it was an average restaurant. Good for a stop on a long trip with casual atmosphere. The building was cool as it is a converted train station with real effort in preserving the history and feel of the place. If I didn't care how long it took to get my food this is a great place to stop.

We ate here s part of a large group and the service was great. The ribeye steak and Tuscan chicken were delicious as was the Italian Cream cake!

First time eating at Freight House Restaurant. You get a chance to take a walk in history at this historic freight house. It has some original decor. The floor, beams, and walls are the same ones from when it was first built. The food was outstanding! My girlfriend got the burger and it was really good. I got the French onion panini. It was delicious! It's on sourdough bread and it had a crisp outer edge that really compliment the au jus sauce. Try it out and you won't regret it!

I have eaten here several times over the years and each time the food and service has been excellent. Treated my parents today. We are all very picky about where and what we eat out and we were all pleased with our visit. Would highly recommend.
