Fry's Electronics

I always knew they had great selection and helpful staff, but today the customer service was over the top! I mentioned that I had my daughters (9-10) with me and needed to find something for them to do while my stereo was being installed in a different department, then one of the staff let me take them into the theater room to watch while waiting. It was fantastic, what could have been an exercise in patience ended up being a great afternoon! Only due to Great Customer Service! I will be making my purchases there when ever possible.

Nobody helped me or asked if I needed help. I helped myself putting the printer on the flat basket because it wouldn't fit (because of the size) in a regular basket. There were also other customers who need help but couldn't find anyone. When I got to the cashier station my cashier was very nice. She asked me for a card I guess with the barcode on it but I told her nobody was back there so I helped myself. She Shook her head and apologized then asked if I needed help out to my vehicle. She put on a back brace then helped me get my canon pro 10 printer in my vehicle. I would rate her a 5 but that's not an option to just rate one person.

Good prices. Really big. Some interesting specials on noon electronic stuff. Just a great place to hang out for tech feels -- plus they have a coffee shop with sandwiches!

If your looking for a good place to buy electronics and you're wary of buying cheap electronics online, Fry's is the place to go. They don't gouge you like BB and they don't jump down your throat with cell phone sales like RS. That being said, the employees don't seem to be trained by the store very extensively; it seems that all the knowledge the people helping you have comes from prior experience or incidental learning. The gaps really show when you're looking for something you know a lot about but just don't know where to find it.

Their DELIVERY - NO CALL, NO SHOW!..NO GOOD! Why do they offer delivery..then call to say they will deliver the item and you need to be home with your ID to get the item during the delivery window..then DON'T SHOW UP nor call to say they won't be there? Thanks for wasting my time. I needed the item for the next morning. I would have driven there to pickup if I knew they wouldn't show, but they screwed up my schedule for the next day without the item. Maybe a notification call, text or email?...NOPE! Left me high and dry and when I called, no one apologized, helped, or seemed to really care. I like the selection and prices, but generally BAD customer service. I'll go elsewhere.
