Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop

This is a nice place to get ice cream and Classic Ghirardelli chocolate. There are great views of the ocean and wharf. Don't go on a day after a holiday weekend. They didn't have very many flavors left. Other than that this place is family friendly and just awesome.

Really good ice cream but be expected to wait for 30 minutes or more.. the demand is just so high and the staff were working so fast to try to get the orders done as quickly as they could!

The friendly gentleman that was outside at the Information Center in Pacific Grove suggested that we try Ghirardelli. He said there is a patio so you can take your own snacks and Water and get a treat to share. So I trekked through the old nob Hill parking lot and headed there. He was right Great Views and they Have Free Drinking Water Right by the Recycling in the back. I took my Hot Cheetos and Flamin Lays and enjoyed the sunset. Right at Six o Clock it was just what I needed.

Came here monday after easter weekend and they were out of 4 flavors including the one i very much wanted (cookies and cream). Great views and service despite being down two people and some flavors. The shakes tasted great and my 14 month old enjoyed them too. Pricey side, $19+tax for two large shakes but it's not like i had the stuff at home. A nice treat overall.

It was a clean place although it was VERY crowded! The staff was helpful, cheerful. Nice ambiance by the way. It was a LONG line to get to order our ice cream but it was fast enough. THOUGH we waited a lot for 3 sundaes, like... a lot. The view is nice, seriously having a sea salt caramel sundae at the beach is the best thing ever! Everything's super delicious! I truly recommend to have patience and a lot of time to visit this place. It's worth the wait.
