Best ice cream, shakes/malts and sundaes you'll find on this side of the bay! They make everything there by hand, and you can taste the difference. A little pricey--that's the tradeoff for not cutting any corners--but worth every penny. Also has a quaint, 50's soda fountain theme that is oddly relaxing.

I have to admit that the place looks good and on paper, it should be a winner. But I didn't like the ice cream very much (chocolate) and I found the homemade waffle cone to be too sweet, so I didn't like it either. Ben & Jerry's all the way...

The only way our hot fudge sundae could have been better would have been if we had eaten it there! We asked for a sundae wth milk chocolate ice cream and our server happily obliged. We got a huge sundae (perfect for two!) with silky smooth chocolate ice cream, warm hot chocolate fudge, delicious almond slivers covering the top, and whipped cream and a few berries. I would never ask for all these toppings, but they went perfectly with the sundae and made it into something extraordinary. The restaurant inside is super cool and cute, and the neighborhood (Cole valley) is great as well, I totally would recommend coming here!!

1950s soda fountain! don't let the name fool you, it's first and foremost an amazing soda fountain staffed with soda jerks. the icecream is amazing, but secondary. combine the two and get a float. bring a date

Honestly, the people here are just great. They're happy to explain the menu, eager to describe the drinks, and generally just seem to enjoy working at an ice cream bar.
The drinks here are generous (in both ice cream quantity, as well as alcohol) and service is speedy. Be sure to get a number on the way in!
