The Original Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop at Ghirardelli Square

Fun place. The shop for the ice cream is a mob scene. We went in just to see the old equipment making chocolate. It is very interesting to see. There is a whole complex there with different shops from jewelry to clothing and other touristy things. There is another place to get the ice cream and chocolate at the West side of the complex with shorter lines and more space. But no chocolate making equipment like the first one.

I love this place. Best ever ice cream, brownies and sundaes. The staff is friendly and there is a girl named Rattee who is awesome, super friendly, kind and informative about machines. We ordered an ends land with coffee. It was fantastic, flavorful, full of chocolate and caramel and big! It is good for at least 3 people. This place is a must go. I highly recommend it.

One of the must visit places in San Francisco. All the ice creams are really good. Our favorite is always the world famous hot fudge sundae. Lands end is pretty good too. If you’re up for something hot, the hot chocolate hits the spot.

You really can't go wrong with Ghirardelli ice cream and coffee. There is always a line, but it's well worth it. Stop by the store while waiting and enjoy a free chocolate. I highly recommend the white chocolate mocha latte, it's delicious. Their Rocky Road is amazing as well. A must stop when visiting San Francisco. The view is amazing as well.

It's one of those childhood fantasy places, like you're in Willy Wonka's chocolate heaven. Once you walk in, you'll be given a piece of chocolate, and you'll be faced with shelves full of different types of chocolates assortment. Is simply lovely, especially after you sit and enjoy your meal and drinks, with desserts being chocolate related as well! They also do large discounted packs, which makes for lovely gifts for bringing back to colleagues and friends. Make sure you check the place out when you're in San Francisco.
