We are so glad that Glaucoma Associates of Texas opened the Plano office on Spring Creek Parkway! The location is extremely convenient, parking is plentiful, & the staff is very friendly & accommodating.

I made an appointment for my mother at this location and receptionist was very nice. My mother was a bit nervous about the appointment so I went with her and can't say enough great things about this staff. Lisa was our tech and she was so professional and gracious enough to take the time to clearly explain what was going on each step of the way as to ease my mothers anxieties.
Dr. Godfrey was very welcoming and very professional as well.
Thank you Glaucoma Associates of Plano for caring for your patients!!!

Worst experience ever at eye doctor. Extremely difficult to even make the appointment. New patients need to schedule with a specific person, so you call to schedule and that magical person is supposed to call YOU back. In my case, I did not receive a call back and had to call them again.
The receptionist was NOT friendly at all. She falls into the category of “technically not rude, but not very nice”.
Tech Lisa was extremely rude. The first thing patients must do is sit in front of two machines. When I asked what the machines test for she surprisingly became very defensive. Lisa immediately said “All patients must do this. If you don’t cooperate, the doctor will not see you." I was just asking what we were testing! A similar conversation took place regarding the second machine meant to check pressure. She was SO irritated that I was asking questions!! This time Lisa was unable to align and position my head correctly and she became extremely frustrated with me. She abruptly got up and said “Never mind. He can figure out what he wants to do with you”. At this point I should have walked right out of the office (WHAT is this place??)!!
I was also very disappointed that I would be having an audience for my exam. After my favorite tech, Lisa, left the room another tech arrived, just as unfriendly and cold as her cohort. She said she would be sitting in during the exam. Great. Why not? We sat there in uncomfortable silence staring in opposite directions for eternity until the doctor arrived.
Ultimately, after all that, Dr. Grover was unable/unwilling to examine me at all. He said that the only way he could “provide me with the gold standard of care” was for me to take an eye drop so he could check my pressure. Unfortunately I am extremely allergic to the medication. Dr. Grover did not know what to do with me. He said he had never seen the adverse reaction I described. He suggested I see a neurologist to "figure it out". After that he did not want anything to do with me and I was clearly wasting his time.
This is NOT my first rodeo with eye doctors but this was by far the worst experience. Do not go here if you have other eye issues, in addition to glaucoma, or if you have complicated eye issues. They won’t know what to do or how to treat you. And no one needs the rudeness either. YIKES!!!

Let me start with I was fine with Dr.Butler, unfortunately that was the only thing that I was fine with. I waited an 1 1/2 hours past my appointment time to be called and then waited in the exam room for another half hour to be seen by the doctor. The appointment overall took four hours. I was willing to give the office another try and called to schedule a follow up appointment, after waiting on hold for over 6 minutes I hung up and tried again, when asked to hold again I told the receptionist that I had already been on hold for over 6 minutes, without responding I was again put on hold. Hung up after 2 minutes. I can find another office that treats its patients with more courtesy and respect.
