Go New York Tours

I bought the hop off hop on tour, and half of the time we had no tour guide. The time we did have a tour guide was awesome. Go NYC Tours could have a good thing going, but the inconsistencies makes their business below mediocre.

This place is a fricken joke. We were 10 min late to our bus and they did not provide the service. I had paid before hand because I had 15 people with me and I wanted to make the process go quicker as I knew we would be tight for time. Never was it mentioned to me that if I got to the bus late there would be no refund. Now I am out $360 and extremely pissed off! Horrible customer service, absolutely no sympathy whatsoever. Never use their services! They are USELESS!!!!!!!!

Really like the hop on hop off options. The drive itself is fun and you see so much, going through key attractions to normal parts of the city. There's so much to see in the city, I would take all the tours if possible, you can do it in two days. Definitely take the night tour. The only thing I would change is having an actual guide but the recordings are good as well. I'm a native New Yorker and I really enjoyed exploring the city this way.

Warning: many positive reviews on this company seems to be fake : Many users just entered 3 reviews, all 3 on services of the same company. Concerning they services, this company seems to be totally incoherent and not organized. We purchased the tour online. We did not get a ticket to print, but a voucher! How to get the ticket? "Any staff with the company uniform". You have of course to understand by yourself that the company is called GONY tours but the name on the bus and on the staff is TOP VIEW. When we understood this we asked to a bus driver, with official TOP VIEW uniform, to print out the tickets, but he could not do it, we were asked to go to the main office of the company (only one in NY). This office is hard to find, it is just a door with a stair going down to the basement of the building. There a woman could print the tickets, but first asked me to sign the receipt for the credit card. When I asked to confirm that I was not charged twice (as I paid already) she told me that she was not charging anything, I only had to pay the tip to her!!!! And all this of course in a very impolite way. The bus tour itself is fully unorganized, you are placed in a queue that is not called when the bus arrives, the plan of the route does not correspond to the route itself and the audio comments are not triggered at the right moment. Globally cheap but of very poor quality, I do not suggest to take this company, especially not online!!!!

Not bad. Top of the bus. It is fun only when there is no traffic. They also have audio of locations.
