OnBoard New York Tours

We took our grand daughter to NYC for her 12th birthday. We booked On Board Tours in order to give her an over view of the city. Friends from south Jersey joined us The tour was magnificent. Our guide ( forget his name) was entertaining and informative. I have taken many tours and he was in the top 1% of guides. In order for you to determine who he is: big baseball fan, from Brooklyn and does comedy.

My wife and I recently went on the 8 hour NYC tour with our guide, Jimmy "the chicken man." He was one of the best guides we have every had; full of interesting stories about NYC and absolutely hilarious. He was raised in Brooklyn, but spoke in a Midwestern dialect "so my patrons can understand me." He has over 50 dialects and went into many of them on the tour. This tour was at a great pace and we liked it because we got to walk to some of the sights. If you are worried about not getting your money's worth on this tour, "fugetaboutit."

I wish I had something positive to say since we, four of us spent a lot of money ($ 678.88) to tour N.Y on May 31st. it was not worth the money. A friend highly recommended the tour but we did not get the service she got. I believe it depends on the tour guide. The tour bus took us to the sites, but unfortunately we had a tour guide that dropped us off and picked us up on most of the sites. We had no guided tour to speak of; very little information was given. We were dropped off at a spot and told to meet back with the guide at a certain time; most of the time we did not see our guide until then. If you are planning this tour, a suggest research it again. The company hires a tour guide and a bus to take tourist around.
