First Chinese restaurant Ive had in Portland that has egg foo young in their menu and got lucky with pork ends just came out of the oven. Recommended by a co-worker and I really enjoyed the meal. Also ordered enough to last the Christmas Holiday. Will order again. Food: 5/5
We had a late dinner on a Sunday, the place was relatively quiet and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Tried Dinner B, generous portions for the price. The appetizers bbq pork, fried shrimp, krab puffs were very good, the spring rolls were good though different than I'm used to. The pork fried rice was a little bland, in my opinion could benefit from some green onion. But it still paired well with the general tso's chicken which has a variable spice depending on how much sauce you use. The Mongolian beef was a bit on the spicy side for me, though I'm a lightweight so others may enjoy it. Edit: next time I asked for it to be less spicy and it was lovely. The hot tea is hot! I'll definitely be returning
Exactly what I was craving- delicious “standard” Chinese takeout with large portions and affordable pricing. Super easy to get to right off the highway. Open later for takeout than most other Chinese restaurants in Portland. Plus they gave me an extra crab rangoon with my combination dinner score. If you’re looking for the standard type of no-frills Chinese takeout that’s affordable with the expected huge portions, this is the spot. The combination takeout dinners are easily enough for 2 or 3 normal sized meals.
Always friendly always has a great attitude when you come in your welcomed politely always respectful when I'm hereFood: 5/5
We LOVE going to this place! Server is so friendly. The value is incredible and we always have leftovers for lunch : The Mongolian beef and pork fried rice are great together!Food: 5/5
Very disappointed.. Have been a customer for about 15 years and have always had a good experience and today the lady wouldn’t give us any extra water, cocktail sauce and snatched my plate up before I could finish .. she was incredibly rude and mean and this has never been my experience.. I expect better as a long time customer … I’m done never again !!!!
The hostess was very friendly, the food was OK. The pork foo young was very bland, and the gravy had a slight "old seafood" taste. The shrimp was tasty but really greasy, had to dry it out a little. The pork slices were perfect. The egg rolls were the "pagoda" brand type of frozen spring rolls. The pork fried rice was amazing. I recommend this place for fried rice dishes, and if you're in need of quick, cheap food.
I really enjoy giving this place of business my time. There’s lovely ladies and handsome gentleman that always help me here. Their lounge has a cute crowd and the restaurants food is always good and they are gracious for my time in business. I have gladly came here and purchased their wares and products for years. PS if the kids in the neighborhood could please quit spray painting the building and show these people some respect that would be great.
General Tso's tofu is super soggy and no flavor. All the sauce is like water. Refused to give a refund because I guess "it's their style", as the lady said. Honestly the worst tofu I've eaten. Also my boyfriend got the #2 dinner special. The noodles weren't even cooked all the way, they were still crunchy. The sweet and sour sauce is also gross. This place doesn't know how to cook. We ended up throwing it all away. It was a big waste of $23. Wish I would've read the pther reviews. At this point I'm convinced the only good reviews are from locals who go drink and are too drunk to taste anything, as if there's flavor.
Great food! I wish I took pictures, but it was good nonetheless, true Asian takeout. Cute place, I loved our server, she was very kind with the brightest smile. We’ll definitely come back, especially with such a great price!Food: 5/5
