Swan Garden

Absolutely awful. I've had better food from a Chinese buffet half an hour to close. Rice was slimy, chicken was clearly cooked hours before and left under heat, and the sweet and sour was the consistency of jello. Vegetables were the only thing edible, being somewhat freshly cooked but bland. I would have sent it back except the server disappeared immediately after dropping off the plate and didn't come by except to give me the check before disappearing again. If your restaurant is going to have an off day this bad you need to just close.

Update: I've lived across the street from this place for a year now. I don't go all the time but when I do, the service is good, to go orders are quick and packed to the brim, and the lunch special is a great deal. It's American-Chinese food. All these low ratings and negative comments are from picky, entitled people that clearly think that all types of cuisine should be 5 star dining. This place is fine, don't believe the negativity. I don't get all the fuss and complaints, Swan Garden is consistent, inexpensive, and for me conveniently located.

Best Egg Foo Young in town and the food is always fresh. The fried shrimp is delicious! the owners are always friendly. Have been eating here for a few years - like to take my elderly Mom there. Never disappoints.

IMO there is no better Chinese restaurant in Port. The food is always made fresh so have some patience. Everything on the menu is excellent. The Swan Garden special is a good place to start. Best egg foo young ever. Best fried shrimp. Sweet and sour Chicken is awesome. Good prices considering the amount of food you get. From the outside you might pass bye and say that this place looks like a dive. But that would be a mistake. I know. That's what I thought before I tried it! You'll love it.

The owner is mean and cheap. People like him shouldn't be in a service industry or any other job period. Would have described with "better" words, but I think Google won't let me cuss! My review is not based on my food experience. But solely on the owner. That said I wouldn't be trying his food.

Best place for Chinese food. Honestly, nothing can compete with them in my mind. The host is absolutely sweet and kind, and just so helpful. Before, I could never eat Chinese food, but the first time I went there with my family, everything changed. This is a great place to eat. I highly recommend it.

Asked for general tsi chicken. Requested that it not be soggy and it was covered 75% full of sauce in the togo container. The sauce is flavorless, neither spicy nor sweet as my server described. The beef lo mien was okay. The 6oz serving of rice that comes with it is ridiculously small. I would like to tell the owners and cooks, shame on you. You should be embarrassed to work here.

If only you could put 0 stars.... BEWARE of prices. Ordered food, said one price online, went to pick up and was $8 more expensive. I questioned it and she said "usually people come and pay." Did nothing to adjust price. I said I just wanted my order of egg rolls,nothing else and said "him, back there, won't just sell you those." They are there to take advantage, DONT GO

We have patronized this place for many years now, most often take put, the orders are always correct, hot with quantity and quality aways spot one. You can be sure to get excellent service with a friendly smile. I would be lost if they were no longer in business. ALERT: THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS NO LONGER VALID, FOR REASONS I AM NOT AWARE OF THE SWAN GARDEN IS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS. THIS IS INDEED A GREAT LOSS TO THE COMMUNITY. I HAVENOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A PLACE THAT CAN MATCH THE QUALITY OF FOOD THAT WAS PUT OUT HERE. THIS BUSINESS CLOSE THEIR DOORS DURING THE BEGINNING MONTHS OF THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK I SINCERELY HOPE THAT THEY JUST DECIDED THAT THIS WAS A GOOD TIME TO RETIRE AND THAT EVERYONE IS WELL AND HEALTHY. IF ANYONE THAT SHOULD READ THIS AND KNOWS THE REASON FOR THEIR CLOSURE PLEASE POST IT, THEIR HAVE BEEN SEVERAL PEOPLE FROM AROUND THIS AREA THAT WOULD LIKE TO KNOW. I WISH THAT FAMILY WELL, THEY WERE AND ARE A GREAT ADDITION TO THIS DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY WE CALL AMERICA.

Super clean,I mean spotless.i've only had their bbq pork &fried shrimp.but both times it was yummy.shrimp was cooked perfect no doughy batter.They dont seem very busy dont know why.im going to go back & see what else is good.
