Harvest Inn, St. Helena, Napa Valley

We really love coming to Charlie Palmer's Harvest Inn. It's pricey, but really lovely spot in the valley. Breakfast included, plus some in-room treats. A few upgrades are in order though; entertainment system is lacking compared to what's going these days; property in general needs a little TLC, seems tired. Service people are very good. I'd go back but would like to see upgrades.

My husband and I both somewhat low-key people and we were looking for somewhere to stay that had a bit of a relaxed vibe. This hotel couldn't have been more perfect. We stayed in one of the spa vineyard view rooms and it was very much like a quaint cottage to me. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, fresh fruit, yogurt and oatmeal served buffet style in the hotel's on location restaurant. It was very relaxed and quite good. They have a car available to drive you to locations within St. Helena and that worked pretty well for us when we had a few reservations that we preferred not to drive ourselves. It is pretty centrally located and that made it easy to get from vineyard to vineyard in a reasonable amount of time. We loved staying here and plan on returning. It was one of the best experiences we have ever had.

The Harvest Inn was our choice for 25th anniversary trip to Napa - and did not disappoint. We stayed in one of the Spa Vineyard rooms overlooking the vineyard on the back side of the property, so didn't really experience any road noise. While it is something of a premium rate, the room was spacious and comfortable and exactly what we were looking for to visit. About a mile from the center of St. Helena and no more then a 20 minute drive to just about any of the Napa wineries we visited - from Spring Mountain to Del Dotto Caverns (using a driver of course!). The staff was extremely helpful with any request we made. A great experience.

Great location for visiting Napa Valley, enjoyed the ambiance and amenities. Did get a bit of road noise, but we were on the second floor. Hope to stay there again.
