Holiday Inn Express Walnut Creek

Just because I'm giving it five stars doesn't make it a five star hotel. But for a holiday inn it was beautiful and the beds we're comfortable. The pool and lounge area we're nice when it was worm enough to swim. The breakfast bar was always delish. There are computers for use and an ATM so your set for a day in Oakland and San Francisco.

The hotel is currently wrapping up renovations and I lucked out in a recently redone room on the far side away from any work being done, and conveniently close to an elevator at the backside of the parking garage for quick access to my car. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, the only reason I rate them four stars for now is the water pressure wasn’t so great for showers or flushing the toilet properly. Perhaps when construction is done this will be remedied. I’ll be back!

Not impressed. Clean but stuffy odor as if smoker was here in non smoking room❔ Bathroom small and the awful lighting that was too bright. The bed area was quite large and should have been smaller and made bath larger. Don't like bright lites in the bed area either.. Need dimmers. Closet in middle of bedroom. No privacy or dressing area. You stand right at toilet when dressing or standing at the sink. GROSS.. You can hear the traffic. Very loud. Whoever designed these rooms needs to go back to square one. . I was extremely disappointed.. NEVER coming back.

Our special thanks to Cynthia Thornton and her staff. Each person on the staff that we had the opportunity to involved with exceeded our expectations. The back lobby was an oasis of light, nature and water. Personally, after a long trip I found it was very refreshing to gaze upward at the vaulted ceiling, out at the sunlight, water and trees. Kudos to the Holiday Inn for a very tasteful and welcoming project of remodeling. Again our thanks to your whole staff who made our stay such a pleasure.
