Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center & 24 Hour Emergency Center

To say this place was amazing would be an understatement!! My baby, a one year old chi-weenie, ate rat poison in the middle of the night and I was a panic struck mess. Until I got to Heart of Texas Veterinary Clinic. The staff was so helpful,knowledgeable and understanding. They kept me up to date on what was going on w her and took amazing care of her! I will be forever grateful to them for that. Should I ever need an emergency clinic again I will most definitely be going back there. and will recommend them to my friends and family.

Get ready to pay a lot , all they need is your money doing unnecessary test and later tell you that is too late , sorry. My experience with veterinary doctors and clinics - they love to suck your money for nothing and make you feel responsible for the suffering of your pet. Simply if you have enough money to pay you may be lucky to safe your pet. ( price of old car at least) . They playing with the feelings you have , having system to take as much as possible, because your pet is in the end of it life so, after that they have no chance to get any money. Don’t ever trust a doctor, vet or not vet. They are here for business not to help. It is a industry that moves a lot of money mainly because of your feelings. Good luck . No more pets in my life .

I have four animals, so I have used this hospital several times over the past five years. They have always been kind, thoughtful, and given me what I considered to be sensible advice for taking care of my animals. While their prices are higher than my regular vet, that’s pretty standard in my experience for ER, 24/7 services. And it’s been totally worth it when one of my little ones has been sick. I will be back, when we need such services again, and I recommend them.

I had to bring my dog here due to am Addison's episode. The staff were amazing! They called to give me updates regularly and treated my dog with love. Also, while I'll was in the waiting room a different woman and her kids came in. They needed help getting their injured/sick dog out of the car. Within seconds a man and woman appeared from the back, went outside, picked up the dog and rushed him to the back. It was great to see that the staff also felt the urgency to get the dog help. I would 100% recommend people to visit this vet clinic.

We cannot thank the Doctors and staff enough for their professionalism and caring of my furry friend Pogo. They took him in immediately and looked after him. After a little while, they took us to the back to visit with him before we drove back one hour to Fort Hood. They took the time to explain all the procedures they were going to try and they did not sugar coat the prognosis. The Dr’s told us it was our decision and that they would abide with it. My Pogo was very very sick and in pain. After much thought and contemplation, we decided to let Pogo go. He had been part of our family for 12 years. The doctor came into the room with Pogo and told us we had as much time as we needed, if we wanted we could take him to get hamburgers. We happened to have left overs from Chevy’s and he loved it. He had not eaten for at least 3 days due to his illness. After that the Dir. came into the room and sat down on the floor with us and Pogo. She explained the process and did it in a compassionate and professional way. After Pogo went to sleep she left us to grieve in peace and she took care of all the paperwork. We highly recommend this facility.
