Hearth 'n Kettle Weymouth

I've been to Heath 'n Kettle about half a dozen times and it's a decent place to have breakfast when you don't feel like making it yourself. They have farm fresh eggs, not sure if it's antibiotic and hormone free. That would be nice if they were. The vegetables and other ingredients are fresh and not processed, but the taste is just basic. The pancakes are good, but nothing too exciting. I did like the baked sweet potato hash, that was pretty good. They also have some organic dishes as well as real maple syrup. However, the syrup is an extra two dollars. Otherwise, the prices are reasonable. You get what you pay for here.

Went for Easter Sunday had a group of 8. Waited 2 hours for food. My one year old pancakes were cold. My wife ordered the Turkey dinner and the gravy had a film on the gravy from sitting under the lamp to log. And I ordered a cheese burger with fries. Asked for medium rare and it was well done. And with in the fries there was a raw clam. So all in all not the best experience. The waitress was nice, but it seems as they were all set up for failure.

We made reservations for 2 we got there at least 15 minutes early. They didn't have any table ready for us until 40 minutes past our time we made the reservations for and we had to put a $50 deposit on the reservation. Then when we got seated it was another 20 minutes before somebody came to the table fall drinks then when they said for the food it was going to be an hour before we got even out appetizers off old. The Waitresses all we got slammed at 1 oh well you should have been prepared for this after all it was an Easter and we paid for the seating at a certain time needless to say we did not stay they were not apologetic or anything about the situation even for us waited and we had to elderly people with us. If I could give them a zero I would give them.

Good food, not spectacular (this isn't SoHo NYC food) but you will not be unhappy with it! Excellent service. Great menu selection. My only quibble is a minor one: no hot dessert option for when it is cold out ( and winter is being a bear right now).

We have been going to Hearth n Kettle for many years. First on the Cape. The breakfasts are the best. Must go dinner one day.
