Heavens Gate Restaurant

The place is called Heaven's Gate! HEAVEN, people!! Need I say more?? Ok, if you insist. I have been for the breakfast buffet and brunch buffet both. Brunch was just "OK", and I wouldn't go back for it. Of course, I say that because this was only after having been a handful of times for the breakfast buffet. I cannot accurately describe the beauty of their breakfast spread. How many different ways can you serve scrambled eggs? Heavens Gate says at least half a dozen! Any combination I could've ever thought of. Chorizo eggs are the way to go. But the star of the show here is the french toast, hands down. This place has the best french toast that you will ever have in your entire life.... ever!!!! Better than your mom's, better than your granny's! And as if your 12 fully loaded plates of breakfast food weren't enough...... just ask, and they will be happy to bring you a spread of whatever deserts they will be putting out for the brunch buffet! Why? Because they are SO HAPPY to serve their customers and make sure they are fat and happy when they leave. On that note, if you didn't have diabetes and high cholesterol before you came, you might when you leave. So, just let that be a warning that if you have health issues and are/should be on a strict diet, this may not be the place for you. I do not have health concerns, but am on a strict diet. If it weren't for that, I would find a way to indulge at Heaven's Gate for the breakfast buffet any chance I got. I do live in Arlington, so it's about a 30 minute drive. That helps me avoid the inevitable diet doom. I should also note that it's extremely reasonably priced, for what you are getting. It is around $20, including tip (which is a generous one), for my son and I to eat there on a Saturday morning. PLEASE VISIT THEM, THEY ARE DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT!!!

Great Food ans great prices. If you come like 45 mins before lunch you only have to pay 1.00 more to enjoy both buffets. I like to come around lunch and order a fresh waffle to go with my chicken.

Coming to the restaurant outside is a very underwhelming building. Walking in though is a nice, clean, restaurant. I feel like I'm on a hidden eats show. The home style food is really good. There are many classic dishes and vegetables too, so everyone is happy eating here. The meatloaf is phenomenal. Catfish was great. Chicken was great. Heck I can't think of one thing that I didn't like. Pecan pie to wrap it up. Woo hoo.

Ive NEVER cleaned a plate from a buffet...including 4-5 star VEGAS buffets. I cleaned TWO plates here. Everything was incredible. Impressed is an understatement. Well done.

The food here is good it typically ranges from 7 to 15 it all depends on what you eat. The buffet and dessert look fresh and very appetizing. The restrooms are small but other then that it's a very good place to take the family out to eat.
