I called because I was going to have shoulder surgery and was wanting to purchase a cooling machine. I was told they don't carry them. The cooling machine has been proven to be very helpful in pain control. Some patients would rather give up their narcotic pain medications than their machine. It should be available in every medical supply store. Something so important to a patient and it is unavailable. Wow! They also have to work on their telephone manners.

I think the people who have given bad reviews don't know how lucky they are to have Heckman Homecare near to them. I started with a mega medical supply company (A**ia) for my cpap machine and was literally in tears after a few months of no service, no advice, endless hours spend on phone queues (only to be disconnected) and EVERY MONTH have recurring inaccurate billing. In desperation I called Heckman on a Saturday. The person who answered helped immensely. I made an appointment for free advice and they sat down with me for an hour going over my machine and how I could be more successful with my machine. It worked. All billing for over two years was accurate. Unfortunately we had to move to Arizona and have been fighting to find ANYWHERE that I could order supplies. It seems that everything has turned into 1-800 numbers and mail order supplies. No one monitors your use or helps with any issues you may have. I just spent over 4 hours trying to locate ANY company that could help with a small repair... no luck. AND I just spent another 3 hours searching for a company to get supplies only to receive bulky "universal" tubing that doesn't connect to my machine. I have to drive 45 min one way to return the wrong one they sent me because they won't authorize a mail return (because it will cost them more than the profit on it). I have come to the conclusion that I will be much happier to have Heckman mail me supplies because they have proven themselves... I can CALL them directly without having to wait 45 minutes in a phone queue every time there is an issue. So for those of you who are complaining... YOU ARE LUCKY! I don't diminish that you had an unhappy moment. Perhaps the counter person wasn't as helpful or smiling (I have NEVER had that happen at Heckman but I am sure it's possible)...but I would pay double to have a Heckman store near me because service DOES mean a lot. By the way- years ago my dad came to visit and they sat down with him for 45 minutes (FREE ) to consult and give advice on his CPAP machine. He lives out of state and Heckman would receive no compensation for their time. There aren't very many businesses that would do that nowadays. Thank you Heckman!

Very rude and unfriendly staff. Tried to get a nebulizer for my infant son had me playing phone tag all day just to be told my sons Dr wasn't sending over the order when I was with the Dr and they had sent it over already 2x before that. I was even hung up on. Was very disappointed and had me begging my son's Dr that if there was anywhere else I can get it from to PLEASE send it elsewhere. Finally was able to pick up and it had mix/matched parts. Just thankful I can get started on his treatments.

Competely rude !! misrepresented of products, kinda sad they take advantage of customers & don't stand behind what they sell.
