Hitching Post Restaurant

This place was absolutely amazing!!!! Great atmosphere and EXCELLENT FOOD. The cook who is also the owner needs a metal because that Fried Chicken will have you doing back flips! We also ordered the fried fish, cabbage, and Mac and cheese. The fish was also really good as well as the cabbage. The Mac and cheese was a little dry but I’m assuming because we went about 30 min before closing so we probably got the last of the pan. Other than that, the food was great as well as the wait staff. Definitely would visit again!

One of the best dining experiences ever!!! Food is delicious! Reminded me of my mother's cooking. Beautiful ambiance! Staff is welcoming and very friendly! Can't wait to go again!

Nice little neighborhood restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. We got there about 10pm had a few drinks ...I was surprised the kitchen was still open. . Had the catfish with collard greens mac and cheese. Food was awesome. One of the highlights for me was the jukebox. They have an app so you can play songs thats not on their machine.. Im going back!

I Love Love this Place..... It's like home away from home. Everyone is Family. The Modern day Cheers. The Owner Barry, is Amazing and welcoming. If you are hungry and a little thirsty and just want to have a good time. The Hitching Post is wear you want to be.

Quite good BBQ spot and soul food in a low-key corner of the neighborhood. Owners/staff are great, and menu has all the classics on hand. Well worth a stop, affordable.
