This place was amazing, especially when you compare it to more expensive, and supposedly “high end”, restaurants. The service was polite and attentive; I was given excellent advice about the menu, and what I might like to try as someone who was there for the first time. I was on my own, and they were still treating me as if I was a table of 10. And it wasn’t just my server. The staff that brought me food, other staff (assistant managers likely), and even other table servers smiled, we’re articulate, and helpful when needed. The space is enjoyable and attractive, and has various types of seating, from open, to more private.

Wings Wednesday are the best here I have had so far! I have been to this Succotash before going for Wings Wednesday. But personally I love Wings Wednesday that provides $1 wings. Also the Mac and Cheese was very heavy in content and thickness but great flavor! We received a special chef dish as we were the first ones at the bar to get Wings Wednesday. Enjoy the photos!

This place has a bustling atmosphere. The lower floor would be good for a fun date, even with the tables being a little closer together. The upper floor generally has less people and you get a great view of the skylight and the people below. The food was great! My girlfriend and I went with the sampler (basically their best of foods). There was enough food to fill us up (took some food home). The staff was awesome and we shared a laugh with everyone. Can't recommend enough!

Went for a late night night dinner after a show at the Ford theatre just a block away. Had phenomenal service. We got one of the cozy booths which was romantic and made for a great ambiance. Our waiter was awesome and able to describe dishes when we had questions. The Octopus appetizer was one of his suggestions and it was exactly as he described, like an upscale baked potato with the octopus as the nice substitute for bacon - it's a winner. Rest of the meal was great - perfectly for the upscale southern cuisine fine we'll.

Review is ONLY for the hummingbird cake, which I got as takeout on a beautiful Friday afternoon to eat on the National Mall. The service was impeccable and the cake came out in a nice takeout box plus cutlery in
