Holiday Inn University Center Gainesville

I am in a large local group of Florida Gator boosters. We have used large rooms all over Gainesville. In all my experience in dealing with conference spaces this Holiday Inn has been the best place we have ever been. The facilities are nice, clean and remodeled. The staff is professional, responsive and friendly. You can count on this place to meet your expectations. The location is ideal.

No airport shuttle before 5am if you need to catch an early flight. Hotel is quite dated with that lovely dated hotel smell. Of course that might have been caused by what seems to be recent carpet cleaning as our room carpet was wet. Really feel let down by a hotel that advertises itself as an "airport hotel." The only positive is location and the furnishings we're quite clean.

Very Nice Place I had a two day seminar here. The Hotel is lovely and well kept and the staff is friendly. Overall it was a nice experience.

Dinky and damp for a 4 star hotel. Not coming back to this Holiday Inn. The photos are not accurate. The bathroom was so tiny my 5'2 self had a hard time moving around. The bathroom overhead is so low my 6' husband was just short enough to shower normally. Could've spent over $100 elsewhere with a free breakfast.

The location is an excellent one but it is too bad that they do not appear to be maintaining dislocation properly. The building is old and it is apparent that it has seen much better days. The staff were friendly but the room smelled stale. It is a safe location and food and restaurants are nearby. Still, the owners need to take take it up on themselves to make the stay more pleasant by upgrading the hotel entirely!
