Houston Auto Storage

Car got towed at midnight in a Chinatown apartment complex for not having a parking permit. Went to pick up car at 5 and called the number on the window since no one was at the location at the time. A guy arrived within 5 minutes with his own tow truck, a Middle Eastern guy named Ed. He processed my fees, totaling to $218. Paid it by card and left. Relatively quick and painless, except for my wallet.

Liars and thieves. Released my car to be picked up Tuesday morning. My insurance calls me Thursday, says they have been trying to pick up my car, but the yard tells them I have not released the car. I call them, and they say the insurance has never come. Avoid this place at all costs.

They released my car to someone else who only had the title as proof of ownership. I thought there were stricter guidelines in place, and now, I am left without a car again even though Harris County constables put the car in the storage lot.

Middle Eastern guy very rude. And does illegal towing does not abide with the law. He doesn't like for you to pay with card because he has to report it with the taxes.
