Very professional office staff and Doctor. Be prepared, you will come out looking like a zapped leopard, but he is very thorough. I love going there.

Absolutely terrible experience! I had an appointment this morning at 9:30 as a new patient and arrived a few minutes after nine to fill out paperwork as requested. I've never seen this doctor before and I found the front office staff to be Cold and clinical… There was no welcome or even a smile as I handed all of my requested documentation to them. I was referred to see a dermatologist through my GP and was a bit nervous about the procedure. I was taken back into the patient's room 15 minutes after my appointment time. My blood pressure was taken by the nurse and I was given a paper gown and told to undress and wait for the physician. I waited for over 20 minutes… Naked… With absolutely no communication from any nurse doctor or staff. I then decided that this is not somebody who operates a practice in a way that I'm comfortable with and I got dressed. I walked out to the exit area and spoke to a different member of their office personnel explaining that I wasn't comfortable being left freezing and naked in a room for over 20 minutes when I arrived early per their request. This was now nearly 40 minutes after my appointment time was scheduled and I have still not seen the doctor. The woman at the desk had absolutely no empathy and simply said there was still one person in front of me if I wanted to wait. I declined stating that I did not wish to be charged or seen by this doctor/practice. I waited several months to get an appointment with this dermatologist and I am beyond disappointed that this is how they would treat a new patient especially with a sensitive procedure. I would never recommend this office or Dr. to anyone.

I have seen several dermatologists over the years in four different states for my psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, and Dr. Humeniuk is my favorite. I made an initial appointment with Dr. Humeniuk for my psoriasis and waited the obligatory 3 months for an appointment. In the meantime, I was referred to another dermatologist in town for an infected cyst on my leg who did nothing but prescribe inappropriately dosed antibiotics for the cyst for 8 weeks. Finally, my time had come to see Dr. Humeniuk. Although I was there for psoriasis, he took the time to also evaluate my cyst and take care of it by "unroofing" it in the office that day. Although it was painful both that day and for several days after, it was numbed appropriately and healed perfectly. For the person who complained below about topical numbing prior to injectable numbing...that seems like a pretty ridiculous request. Sometimes procedures hurt. That's life. I continue to see him for my psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and we have a great intellectual relationship. We discuss various toxicity profiles of medications and mechanisms of actions. He has worked with me when I've gotten terrible side effects from certain medications. He gives me information on drugs that are in the pipeline for future therapy. He is one of my favorite people on the planet. He has a little bit of a quirky personality, but we're all human, and that is one of my favorite things about him. Unlike one of the reviews before me, I sincerely hope he stays in practice for many many more years. He is a wonderful physician.
As a point of constructive criticism, I have had one bad experience with the front office staff over the phone; however, I have had many more good experiences with them. I try to remember that everyone has bad days, and maybe I caught that individual on a bad one. I also try to remember to treat people respectfully and how I like to be treated which I think also goes a long way. :)

Great doctor. He always remembers something about me. Caught a cancerous small pox skin location early. Did procedure on the spot

Of course people have bad days and good days, but after going to Dr. Humeniuk to have a cyst removed, I don't see where all of these negative reviews are coming from. He was very professional and efficient. He was also courteous and conversational throughout the procedure. It's true that there is no topical numbing before injecting numbing, but I don't see this as an issue. I would recommend Dr. Humeniuk to anyone!
