My husband and I loved staying at the apartment complex we rented from Independence Realty. They were efficient and if we had any complaints they were already trying to fix the problem. Even though they didn't hear from us much we do appreciate everything they did do. So we'll give them 5 stars.

Worst leasing company ever! Don’t recommend and who ever gets the old apt I had good luck(wynterhallc) - your utility bills will be over 300-400$ in the summer. They tried to fix the AC not twice but 3 times still broken-still sucked they never fixed and was in the apartment 2 HoT summers!! Almost caught my apartment on fire when they had to come fix the heater- the coils Burnt so bad turning it on sparks and ashes came through all the vents- burning stuff that never got replaced! You can clean your apartment when you leave/ don’t bother they won’t give you back a dime of your money for deposit. There were several time I called for maintenance for sinks, toilets, holes and leaks in ceiling.never fixed!! They’re scared to talk to you on the phone. Will text you instead- not professional at all! They don’t care about any resident.. they are slum lords andike the post above- all the care about is that fat guy(Roberts) money..

We were stationed overseas and they rented out our property. They let the tenants put a crack in our kitchen sink, a hole in the ceiling, scratches all over our hardwood floor, break our brick ditch guard and take both our garage door remotes without charging them. They didn't clean the house because there was tape all over the refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen cabinets. The house was filthy too. When I asked Robert about it, he said he paid our $700 fence repair bill for us. I thought ok, at least he is helping out some so we cleaned the house up. A month later, he charges me for the fence bill. He cares about nothing but getting his money.

Independence Realty is AWFUL! Do NOT do business with them. As a Property Owner and as a previous 2-year client of Independence Realty - my experience with Robert was a negative experience overall.
The previous tenants of two years submitted work orders and advised of important mail sent to my home for me - Robert did NOT relay this information to me. Robert was advised to inform me of all maintenance reports prior to sending a maintenance person to complete (as a family member of mine is a handyman and would complete most projects). Initially, Robert adhered to my requests, after 6 months or so, Robert did NOT inform. I was only notified once I received my monthly statement and realized monies were not paid in full - as Robert paid the Technicians.
Most importantly, one of the most pressing issues when you have a tenant is their projected move-out date. After residing in my home for a year, the tenant's decided to go month-to-month. I advised Robert of my approval - if only they'd provide a minimum of a 30-day notice. After an additional year of residing in my home - the tenant's decided to move. The only way I was notified of the tenant's moving was via an email of pictures of my property being empty and not properly cleaned - which, the email was sent to me 6 days POST their move-out.
The tenant's provided Robert and Independence Realty with their 30-day notice. Independence Realty and Robert Taylor did NOT share this information with me.
The tenant's did not leave the home in pristine condition - in fact, their damages exceeded their security deposit.
I am looking forward to my day in court with Robert Taylor and Independence Realty - do NOT do business with them --- especially, since he stated that advising the Property Owner of the move-out notice the tenant(s) provide to him isn't within his job description or contract. Not to mention - every Property Manager I've interviewed since terminating Robert's services (or lack thereof) all advised that notifying the Property Owner of any and all move-out notices are a REQUIREMENT!
Thankfully, I found a more reputable Property Manager in the area and they rented my home swiftly and our communication is impeccable.
Take your business elsewhere!
