Izumi Japanese Restaurant

The sushi was bland like they don’t season the rice they use at all. The asparagus tasted like is was never washed and had grains of dirt stuck in it. The waitress we had took more then 10min to bring us drinks and when she finally asked us what we wanted to order, another customer behind us simply stood to use the bathroom and she ran over to check on him in the middle of us ordering. Afterwards she ran to the back to grab him something when he returned to his table then finally came back to take the rest of our order. Will not be returning.

Good food, service is on/off depending on the day. Music tends to be louder than necessary.

I literally spent $50 on my food. The lady called and confirmed the extra charge and quantity of extra garlic butter sauce. Order was still wrong. Food was bland. I will never go here for anything hibachi related. Hibachi express on 7 mile and Middlebelt will give you waaaaay more for your money and it takes better! Can’t believe this has more than 4 stars.

This is my number one place for grabbing a satisfying, delicious meal. The prices are excellent for a sushi house. The staff is always very kind and talkative; very clean place with free refills and very prompt service. I will be a izumi fan for life.

Sushi is very good, but sometimes a bit pricey for what you get. That being said, their lunch specials are of very good value, and offer choices of many of my favorite classic rolls
