Just Dogs Play Care

First and foremost, my dogs-I’ve sent three over 11yrs-all love and have loved to go. The staff are excellent and have been since I was first lucky enough to find JDPC. Carol the owner and her husband Brad treat my dogs w/ the same love and care that I do. For the service and more important, the piece of mind we have found, their prices are quite reasonable. If your dogs are members of your family then there is no place else that can match Carol’s attention to detail and support. If it’s training you’re in search of Carol is a dog whisperer of sorts.

My dog loves coming here and as soon as he can see the building he is already trying to get out of the car. The employees are always helpful and polite.

We do not live in Iowa City, but we travel there periodically, and we use Just Dogs when we need to be dog free while there. It is outstanding in every area. The intake interview is excellent and I felt secure knowing that my sweet, gentle dogs will not be encountering anyone who would hurt them since all dogs that stay at Just Dogs are screened this way. I also appreciate the consistency with the intake interview staff, so that I am assured that the same eyes are seeing all the dogs. The dogs enjoy their stay there very much, and I feel that they are safe, well looked after, and the staff is kind and knowledgeable. I will continue to use Just Dogs as long as I have dogs and travel to Iowa City.

We have used a number of boarders, sitters, kennels, and friends in many cities over the years to take care of our dog while traveling. Just Dogs is by far the best. Although the cost is a little on the high end, it is worth the peace of mind to know she will get exercise, care, and great treatment while we're gone. She is excited every time we drop her off and perfectly happy every time we pick her up. The staff are incredibly helpful and have gone out of their way to make things easy for us as frequent travelers.
