La Puente Homemade Mexican Food

This is not the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to, but it's far from the worst. I thought the food was good, and the lunch special prices were really good. It's a lot of food for a low price. Their chips and salsa are very good. If you're looking for a quick, well-priced lunch that will more than fill you up, La Puente is a good bet.

Went here randomly one day for lunch and was immediately disappointed. Service was terrible, our server couldn't be bothered to even show up and refill our drinks, the food was awful and bland and I ordered one of the lunch specials! Something they should have been well equiped to do at least half way decently. Apparently their idea of 'flavor' is to drown your meal in whatever happens to be the closest spicy thing and call it good. Avoid at all costs.

We came as a larger party. We had made a reservation prior. We had to add a few more to the party. The staff were able to accommodate us and although we had to wait a while for a table big enough for us all to open up, we were taken care of. They offered us all drinks while we waited. That was great!

Really good food! Place was clean, and restroom was tidy. Service was good and prices were more than fair.

This place is pretty equivalent to La Fountain off of 5600 West. I would say the only thing that's different is the atmosphere. Between the two I rate them both the same because I have not been displeased with either of them. Their services are great here and so is there food. I recommend this place for Mexican food. ****
