Great, family friendly place tucked away in the woods! Reserve your spot early, because rooms fill up fast. The Inn is an easy-moderate 5mi hike from Amicalola Falls, which should take you around 2-3 hours depending on how fast you want to go. Plenty of families with young children on the trail, and the path is well blazed. The Inn itself is well equipped, with very clean showers and bathrooms, a game room, dining hall, and reading room. The staff are extremely friendly and will provide you with most everything you need, so you don't need to bring most of your regular backpacking gear. Great weekend getaway!

Len Foote Hike Inn is one of the most unique treasures in the state. Recognized for their impressive environmentally-friendly features and sustainable design, this is a terrific place to stay while enjoying a remote location and relatively rustic (but comfortable) accommodations. A five-mile hike from the parking lot at Amicalola Falls will take you to one of the loveliest spots in the county. You'll enjoy your interaction with the friendly staff, and you'll be impressed with the delicious food served family-style around large tables. Be sure to take a guided tour of the facility to marvel at the incredible eco-friendly features. This is an experience and a destination you don't want to miss.

Very relaxing. Wonderful facilities, which included hot showers, composting toilets, comfortable beds (twin bunks only) ,and a hot breakfast and dinner. Yes, you have to hike in to get to the inn. It was a moderately strenuous hike, but was over all very enjoyable.

Amazing experience to endure a lengthy, steep hike and end up at Len Foote Hike Inn. The game room, the fireplace, extra snacks left over from the previous meal served. Meals were family-style and the cooks made me a delicious tofu dish since i acknowledged I was a vegetarian. Slept great since weather was in the 40's. Can't wait to make another trek up to LFHI!!

Foggy and rainy weather hardly detracted from our overnight stay. Wonderfully constructed lodge, welcoming staff. Hiked in on the very nice Hike Inn trail, hiked out on the even more fun AT Approach Trail.
