Great for a much needed day of rest and relaxation! A true diamond in the rough. Superb for all ages and walks of life. When u get there just go ahead and turn off all the families cell devices because they are of no use to u here , no net work is available, just kick back and enjoy some peace and quiet for a while.

I took a two day backpacking trip here and fell in love with the trail. It's challenging and rewarding thanks to the heavy elevation change. It was great having a chance to try pioneer or primitive camping, cooking food on the trail and getting a good workout all day. The views were breathtaking. We saw some cool wildlife, including millipedes, newts, and big, fat squirrels.

Nature at its best, beautiful scenery everywhere you looked. Has great amenities for all ages and tastes. Great places to eat all about the place and conveniently located. Friendly people everywhere I went. Truly awesome outdoor activities that made me wanna stay there way beyond my initial plans. Fishing damn good. Hunter's welcomed and guided by the locals, had pro guides for fishing & hunting but I prefer to get locals advice and just meet new people. Scenery amazing for photography buffs. Great variety of buildings and structures old and new. Great camping grounds with water hook ups and electricity if wanted. U can always venture out to seclusion if u want privacy and just the sounds of the surroundings. Cold water abundant to cool off on a hot Ga day. No question 5 star if for nothing else but the all around outdoors and it's beauty !

I live here and absolutely love it. Very peaceful and is one of the most beautiful places there is. The rivers and creeks, the numerous waterfalls, the seemingly endless array of mountain peaks that change as the day progresses and then explodes in color in some of the prettiest sunsets there are. Kind people live here and bring a warmth to the entire area. From the mountain lakes nestled in the valleys to the rushing rivers this area is an earthly heaven.

What a beautiful place to explore! We've been to the Chattahoochee several times and I am still in awe of it's beauty. I've visited in every season except winter. Spring & summer are my favorite times of year to come. Don't forget to check out the small waterfalls on the sides of the road. They are easy to miss so just pull over and explore!
