I lived here for less than a year between 2016-2017 as a resident of the building located on Pine Street. I cannot remember the name. Overall, this is not a nice place to live. That particular building reeks of cigarette smoke, which comes through the air vents when you turn on the air conditioning or heat. Disgusting, old carpet lines the hallways, which is particularly concerning considering dog urine and feces constantly littered the indoor walkways. What you are left with is a truly abominable combination of permanent odor and mess. Walls are paper thin and not insulated or soundproofed. Regularly, I would get woken up by people slamming the building's entrance door, sex, and arguing, requiring me to have a box fan on high at all times. Washers and dryers were in the basement, which constantly smelled of marijuana/grease/body odor. 30-50% of said washers and dryers were broken at any given time. I wasted many a trip down to the basement to do my laundry only to find the remaining 40% of washers and dryers occupied. The staff of the leasing office was unrecognizable every 3-6 weeks, a testament to the high turnover and rampant incompetence of the staff. The staff at this office also frequently made their own schedule, often closing early with the only notification being a small sign left on the door. That is particularly rude and inconvenient to those who do not live in the building that contains the leasing office. Again, I wasted many a trip to the leasing office only to find it closed during normal hours of operation. Most "luxury" complexes maintain regular e-mail communication with their residents, notifying them of early office closures and other important community correspondence. My air conditioning broke almost immediately after me moving in. It took approximately two weeks for this to be fixed. My unit remained at a constant 83 degrees throughout this time period, making it unlivable. I was advised that, on any given day, they typically have one maintenance person. That is unacceptable for a complex of this size. I strongly recommend that if you are seeking a mill-type apartment to consider the Ribbon Mills. It is more expensive, but you will not have to put up with the misery you will surely put up with here. I have since moved to Florida to the Retreat at Broadway Centre where all service requests are handled in less than 24 hours. I now know what it means to live in a luxury apartment. Lofts at the Mills is barely livable. To label these apartments "luxury" is particularly asinine and an egregious overstatement.

As a guest of a tenant here, I find the management to be extremely passive aggressive or sometimes plain rude. After speaking to the management about a few issues, I was told in the middle of a "talk" (felt more like an argument because they were extremely defensive) that my boyfriend was responsible for giving me a message about putting me on the lease and assumed he would know all the information necessary to put me on his lease. I was rudely told BS answers and flat out LIED about how my boyfriend and the leasing office already had a conversation about me being on the lease when my boyfriend NEVER did that. They also said they're starting to tow cars for most valid reasons but one unjust reason is if we were to accidentally double park. THEY HAVE NO PARKING LINES!! They are so faded you can barely see them in the day light! We called management to make sure they would repaint the lines, we pretty much got an eff you answer. "We're working on it". Seriously?

This place it’s a remodeled old factory. Brick walls leak water when it rains, the rest of the walls are so thin that you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. There’s no privacy.

WALLS SO THIN YOU CAN HEAR THE NEIGHBORS HAVING SEX. We had a terrible experience living here. We were excited to live here because it's beautiful. But if you ever actually want to have a good night's sleep I do not recomend this place. We literally could hear our neighbors moaning. It was awful thank goodness our daughter was so young that we didn't have to explain. Imagine just laying and bed and feeling your bed shake too. I cannot make this stuff up. It's way over priced don't plan on staying here for more then a year because they'll bump your rent up more then $100. Drafty windows because they are so huge. Definitely don't walk in the grass because no one ever picks up after their dogs. I've even see poop in the hallways multiple times. Washer and dryer always broken. The only good thing I have to say about this place is that all of our neighbors were pretty friendly.

I like the size and layout. The new staff has been a pleasure to deal with. They have been very helpful with any concerns I had.
