Gorgeous, scenic drive! Hoodoo is open for skiing now, but at the lowest elevation not the best location. I would recommend driving a little further to Mt Bachlor. It is the middle of April, but an abundance of snow today at the top of the Santiam Pass. Drive safe!

Beautiful forest. Good hiking trails. Not dense, so when you look thru the trees you can get the chance to see the sunlight filtering to the forest floor. You can actually get the gist of the landscape.

It beautiful our there. Snow on the ground , if you plan to get off the main road,you should have chains. We love it it's our back yard
