Mama Hamil's Southern Cookin' and Bar B Que Buffet

You cannot go wrong with Mama Hamil's. Southern cooking at its finest. Fresh, high quality food at an unbeatable price. Every single item here is great, but the banana pudding is to die for! If I lived in the area I would come by here every single weekend.

Best dining experience ever. Great home cooked food experienced wait staff who seemed more than happy to serve you! Food was excellent! Aside from the bus loads of inconsiderate customers who we're screaming .. bumping into our chairs..and yelling the ENTIRE time without a word from management, I'd say, overall, we had a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I love Mama Hamil’s. When I want to stuff my face with all I can possibly eat of good ole southern cooking, I go to Mama Hamil’s. The staff is friendly, but the main reason you go is for the buffet. Don’t come here just because you’re feeling a little hungry, come here when you need a big meal with 3 desserts and gallons of sweet tea. Leave fat and happy. A standard southern buffet done right.

The food was pretty decent but there were items listed online for that day that they didn't actually serve so that was a disappointment. It's a big place but most of their seating was upstairs which is only accessible by a VERY NARROW staircase not built for traffic so you have to hug the wall while carrying plates if you pass anyone going the opposite direction. My husband tripped and dropped his plate at the top of the staircase so he had to go back down and start all over before he ever got to eat. The upstairs seating is also cramped so anytime the ladies behind us moved, they were knocking into our chairs. If we got up, they had to press themselves into their table so we could get by. I watched a kitchen worker wipe the buffet down with her very dirty apron and then smell it before sweeping some other stuff into the floor with her bare hand, so that was pretty well the end of my dining experience.

Mama Hamil's is absolutely the BEST country buffet you can get. Every day is a different meat ON THE BUFFET with NO LESS than 3 other meats. This place is so good that it went from a little one room shack by the highway to a massive barn style structure in the field behind it (now with paved parking). Believe me when I say you can't go wrong taking on this challenge and be ready for a line out the door when you get there. Can't beat Mama Hamil's buffet at $11/person (drink included).
