This is a great place to take kids! My wife is a nanny and she convinced her employer to pay for a membership which is definitely worth it since they visit often. Plenty of sections and plenty of activities that are great for teaching kids. There's even a watercolor painting area! The staff is pretty awesome and take cleanliness seriously. Of the times that I've been (as a kid and also with my wife and the kid that she nannies when I have a day off work) I've never seen anything that could hurt my opinion of the place.

Awesome for the kids. We have gone several times and live an hour away. They make changes to exhibits, adding new ones, which keeps it interesting. Kids enjoy seeing what's new. Staff is wonderful. Never a dull moment. Love this place!

We had a great time here with my niece. Lots of imaginative and educational exhibits, diverse crafts for all interests. You will have an enjoyable time. That said, I do think the museum can step up a little better, and ensure that the craft areas are stocked. Check that the games have all their pieces every once in a while. And you really should have adult supervision in the workshop/ tools area. Nobody wears eye protection, and the screwdrivers and saws can hurt someone. There were staff around, but I'm guessing they're unpaid volunteers. They kind of stood around in groups talking and not paying any mind to the kids and what they were doing. Watched a little kid joyfully flail around the hockey rink, almost took some other kid's eye out. Criticism sounds harsh, I know, but the place really is great enough to warrant the four stars. Five star experience for attentive and inventive parents.

LOVE Marbles! I am a full time nanny and over the years I have taken multiple little ones to this museum. Can't say enough good things. Obviously very kid friendly, staff are so nice and helpful, and you can spend hours playing and not get bored! Will always keep coming back to this wonderful place!

My 2 year old loved it. A few exhibits were above his age group but the ones that weren't kept him entertained all day. He didn't want to leave. One warning, there is a section that has real tools, real saws, hammers, clamps, and wood planks, etc. The only problem I had with that, was the notification/warning was so small you didn't notice it. Most parents didn't realize it was real until they were well into the section. Kids were in there all alone, picking up tools, trying to saw wood and not to aware of where they were swinging it. They need something to really differentiate that section from the rest and let parents and kids know this area needs adult supervision.
