Awesome place for kids and adults. We went specifically to see the "Wicked Plants" display, but ended up spending close to 4 hours there while visiting every area. The zoo, dinosaur exhibit and aquarium are top notch! Lots of written information about all the different aquatic life, as well as the outside zoo area and the dinosaur exhibit. Several interactive displays also makes it more interesting.
If you live locally and haven't been in many years, like me, this is a place to take the family on a great outing.

Amazing museum, so many activities to choose from: zoo, aquarium, omni theatre, rotating exhibits, an obstacle tree course. I was really impressed by how modern the aquarium was. Touch screen interactive exhibits, hologram fish, things like that. Penguin feedings were delightful. They also have a mantis shrimp, for those who know about those crazy creatures. It think its really cool how you can interact with a penguin (for an extra fee), that's something I've never seen offered anywhere else. And for a general admission of $15, its a great deal. I spend about 3 hours just in the aquarium, there is just that much to see.
Edit: went a second time, got to see the zoo for the first time and the penguin encounter. Zoo is really something. Highlights are the petting area, the free roaming chickens, the peacocks, the gibbons and the turtles. You get a lot closer to some of the animals than in other zoos.
Penguin encounter is pricey at $45 per person, but you do get about 15-20 minutes of petting/playing with the penguins, which is a really unique and fun experience.

Amazing. From the zoo, to the museum, to the aquarium, the entire facility impressed me with its knowledgeable volunteers and staff. It was also very clean, well maintained, and family friendly. The admissions price is very reasonable since you’re getting such an immense package behind the front doors. There are also many upgradable options with fun movies, later shows, and even a high ropes course. I would recommend this place 10/10.
From my experiences, I would also like to say that the animal handling was tremendous and that it’s not a typical zoo. They focus not on entertainment, but mostly on the animal wellbeing. The staff puts all of its animals first and I appreciate that.

Enjoyed the trip for the most part. It was my daughter's birthday weekend trip. I had four children under the age of 6 with me. One of the staff members w as very rude with me because of the way the children were acting (excited) at one exhibit mind you they had been doing very well until this one exhibit and one of the staff came up to me and spoke very harshly to me because they put there hands on the window in awe ..not banging or being rude or anything. It would have been fine if she had just come up and asked politely. But she came up and got very loud with me like it was the third or fourth time she had asked me. I understand the importance of being respectful to the animals and what not but it was uncalled for. Other staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not get to see everything because of how early the museum closes (we live far away) and the tickets are quite costly. We also were concerned about the small living quarters for the animals. But of course I don't know if they get extra attention after hours so that's just an observation. The kids had had a blast outside in the play areas.

The yearlong membership is an incredible deal. Great place tons of fun for kids. Always clean and staff is nice. It's great what they have added. Seriously if you have little ones get a family membership. We go at least once a week.
