I and my wife went to ER last month when my wife had a severe abdominal pain. The first doctor we saw told my wife she was constipated and gave her some pain medication that did not really help. The second doctor came (I guess their shift changes) and re-examed my wife very thorough and asked many questions. She (I only remember her last name starts with C) ordered more tests and gave my wife additional pain medication that helped a great deal. Not too long after the tests, my wife was rushed to OR because Dr. C made the correct diagnosis, ruptured ectopic pregnancy. We thank Dr. C dearly. If it weren't for her, my wife could die on that day. Thank you dr. C

I will never be back. As soon as we were called to the back, I was rushed to get up out of the seat, and was disrespected by a woman who was the nurse on duty- shehad a wrap on her head. She continued to be rude, and had a terrible attitude. I was trying to tell her what was going on with me, and that I had been there the night before for the same issue, and she continued to interupt me and tell me that I was not having that issue, even when I was there the previous night for a worse case of that issue and was diagnosed with that issue, yet I was more coherent and able to communicate better than the night before. My boyfriend explained to her that she didn't need to have an attitude. She argued with him, and he reacted in my defense. She then walked away as we were being escorted to the observation room, and began talking about us loudly, infront of us as if we weren't there. My boyfriend asked if there was a problem and if she had something to say, and she stated that was telling the doctor that he said had an attitude. My boyfriend informed her that she should have had that conversation in private and not where we could hear her. She said "okay!" with a terrible attiude. On top of all of that, when I had gotten into the room, I was treated better but was reminded of my total amount of visits (which was irrelevant), and when I asked in what time frame, I was told that didn't matter, and that I need to see my primary care because I am young and that many visits are unacceptable. I had made the appointment with my primary care physician for 3pm before making the decision to go to the ER but my symptoms were continuous and felt as if they were worsening, so where else am I going to go? I also heard her be rude to a 97 year old man who was tranposted via ambulance. As she was getting the information, she was told that he could hardly dress himself. Her respone to that "oh I doubt that! He's gotten his feet out to the bed". ..hardly ever go to Minden Medical Center unless I feel it's an emergency. I was treated like I wasn't wanted there- to the night before and this morning.. I had a legitmate reason as to why I went there, but I promise I will never be back. I felt uncomfortable! Even the other nurse on duty was apologizing for everything that happened between the rude nurse and my boyfriend and l. It bothers me that there are people who only want a profession for the check and not the willingness to help others.

Emergency room is beyond horrible! We have NEVER had a good experience in there. I had to bring my 3 year old up there this morning, because it is only a mile from our house and it was a timely emergency, his pediatrician also advised me to. They were supposed to be monitoring him, they DID NOT, a nurse which I found out when I walked out, whom wasn't even his nurse, we never saw her, came I took his vitals and that was it. Dr came in checked him again and then we didn't see anothet nurse or Dr for over an hour, and they were supposed to be monitoring him. I had to go ask them to check him again, found out again he was fine and walked out!! This not the 1st bad experience we've had with them. I WILL go else where from now on when it comes to having to go to the emergency room!!

I wish i could give 0 stars..... 7 months ago my mother went to Minden Medical, blood pressure extremely high..... was release and within hours & sent home. She then had a major stroke. Couldn't talk or walk....She later went to willis knighton where she was admitted & Months later went WK Rehab where she got the best care . Who knows if they had NOT sent her home that her situation may not have been as Critical as it is right now.

Great hospital...but recently visited the ER with my sick aunt. She was treated and discharged from ER around 10:00 PM. I was parked in the front parking lot - had to pick her up in the ER back parking lot. The front doors to the hospital are locked at 9:00 PM. Instructions posted on door to exit thru ER after 9:00 PM. Very nerve-racking to walk around the dark side of a hospital with two purses, jewelry, etc. Hospital needs to post a way for someone to call a guard to walk them to their car after hours. just add an extension or something! Remember safety!
