Oceans Behavioral Hospital Alexandria

The place is corrupt, nasty, and depressing. They lie to patients and the families and try and keep patients there as long as possible for insurance money. The tech is rude and the "bottom of the barrel" type person. The nurse lied to us about a doctor looking at my dad's physical needs. I feel bad for the real mentally ill patients there, because I'm sure they are mistreated. The social worker tried telling me that my dad couldn't be transferred to another facility. Little did he know I knew the laws and had been in contact with an attorney. Please don't allow your loved ones to be brought here. It is a negative environment and no patient is treated appropriate, for mental disorders. The place is a fraud and gross with incompetent employees. They shouldn't be trusted caring for animals, much less people.

My grandmother was placed here from a skilled rehab due behavior problems. She had been in and out of the emergency room and the skilled rehab but everyone knew her and her character so no one paid attention to the signs that she was using to mask her memory loss. Not speaking in the present or being aware of present things, any changes in her route caused disruption, hoarding and writing information everywhere but not being and keno find it, missing dr appt and so on. I hate it came to this but I'm glad she went to Ocean's. It was difficult for her and family being out of state we really didn't know. Just knew she was getting old. They took the time to speak to over the phone and give me whatever information I needed. They diagnosed her and they are very accurate. I'm glad my grandmother received the help she needs and we will continue to care for her. So once again Thank you Ocean's Behavioral Health Hospital.

this is not a hospital they are keeping people in here for insurance purposes and not telling them the straitght facts when signing in i have a friend that is definately not in for appropriate circumstances for a (MENTAL HOSPITAL) this place needs to be checked out by the proper authorities, imediately, treats and coherstion and lies are not what human beings should be subjected too just because of great insurance policys!!!!!
