Jennings American Legion Hospital

I traveled from out of town to stay 3 days with relative being treated at Jennings Hospital. The entire 3rd floor staff was Absolutely Outstanding. Very compassionate and attentive towards both patient and myself. Staff really made our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank You for your kindness.

Went in with lower right stomach pain and all they did was blood work and uirn test nothing else after 4 hours sent me home with a muscle relaxers

Despite the bad reviews from these other folks, I haven't had a single issue going to this Hospital. I've been for 2 different X-Rays and MRI's, a CT scan, Medical Records pick up, e.t.c. and havent seen the issues that these other people have written about. The Staff was always personable and the facility was very clean. Having been displaced and moved to Jennings after the August 2016 Floods back home in Baton Rouge, JALH is the hospital I will use until they cause me to lose confidence in them and from my experience so far, that doesn't seem likely anytime soon. This hospital is nasty, doesn't even have that hospital clean smell, people get sicker while they are admitted, and the Doctors are some of the worst in the state. I though the hospital in Morgan City was bad but Jennings will send you home, and tell you that you are fine no matter how you feel. You may as well just die at home because if you wait for these people to help you that is exactly what will happen. I urge people to please go farther away to receive the help you need because you are not likely to get it in Jennings!

Nurses are rude and treat everyone like an addict. Slow is an understatement!! All they do is sit at the desk and gossip loudly. If you open the door to wait for them they get pissed and make you close it. I'm sorry I hate sitting in a room for 4 hours to get nothing done what so ever. I had a ruptured fallopian tube and had surgery scheduled in crowley at 4 am they refused to transfer me so they removed my iv and made my husband bring me to crowley. Crowley had a hard time doing my iv because jennings blew so many veins. They were mad because I told my husband is was scared that they were going to kill me and wanted to go to crowley. I dont know a single person that praises this hospital.
