Moonlite Bar-B-Q Inn

WOW!!! I like to smoke my own meats as a hobby, so when I heard that this place does a BBQ buffet, I was skeptical. Most places’ buffet food takes a big hit on quality, but this place actually tastes better than just about any non-buffet BBQ restaurant I’ve had! Even their foods that aren’t BBQ are amazing. For example, the food on the buffet just called “stuffing” (see my pic) is phenomenal. Even though it’s called stuffing, it’s actually stuffing, gravy, and turkey/chicken (not sure which) combined. This dish is better than any other turkey/chicken and stuffing meal you’ll ever have. Yes, it’s better than your mom’s even. Then the barbecue... even though it’s on a buffet... it’s all still seasoned just right like it was made just for your plate! The apple crisp desert is excellent too. Usually restaurants just throw some granola into a desert like that. Moonlite has huge chunks of crunchy sweet stuff (not sure how else to describe it)! I could go on...

Nice and clean restaurant with buffet style services. Food offerings were barbecue items ,chicken gizzards and livers and all the trimmings such as mashed Potatoes & gravy ,green beans etc. They also have a dessert bar. Staff was friendly and prompt. Had a company meeting with a large group.They never let our glasses run dry. Would recommend to a friend when in the area and would return to visit again.

I have always enjoyed Moonlite they have a wide variety of meats and options to choose from and for the most part the food has good taste. There are some meats which are a little too salty for my liking and the Buffet is expensive especially for those who aren't going to eat a lot anyways. The usually have some specials where kids can eat free on one day a week so it might be something to consider if you want to treat the family.

Side dishes are good, but the barbecue is fair at best. I do better stuff at the house. Sad because Moonlight used to THE place for barbecue around here.

Oh Moonlight...how I love thee. But at the prices you charge, I expect y our food to be delicious and consistingly so! This time huge fail. Everything tasted left over. Desserts empty and never refilled.
