Motel 6 Toledo OH

I've stayed twice and while my experience hasn't been terrible I've not had an equal experience. The first time I stayed was 4 days in a king bed non smoking. The room was clean. There was a leak from a rainstorm but staff quickly cleaned up when I told them and left a towel for the floor since the water comes up from the floor. While I was there during the day at times housekeeping never came and I was never asked if I needed anything. I did need an extra night and was able to add that easily. My second stay was 2 nights in a 2 bed pet no smoking room. This room didn't feel as nice. You could see where they had wiped down the surfaces like the rag they used was dirty. I did get a courtesy call from the front desk during this stay though asking if I needed anything from housekeeping which was nice. The one but problem with this place that it has no control over unfortunately is that on most gps maps its registering on the turnpike because its right next to so every map tells you to get onto the turn pike unless you get right next to it on its actual address. 5335 Heatherdowns. For the price and how well it's maintained, its a good choice for a cheap place to stay.

Years ago, every Motel 6 where I stayed was always minimal - white paint, basic linens, blankets, etc. This motel had nicer decor and much better pillows, towels, linens, etc. than I experienced in the past. There was also a microwave oven and small refrigerator. Okay, let's realize that Motel 6 units are meant to be economy. My wife and I were passing through and needed a low cost place to sleep and then get moving early the next day. We were very happy with this motel and would stay here again.

If you're on a budget but still traveling, you'll find the bare bones of necessities here. The staff is very friendly. Heidi at the front desk make sure we were comfortable and when anything out of the ordinary popped up, like a leaky refrigerator, she was happy to help. Room service only comes on Mondays and Fridays so guests have to trade their used towels for clean ones at the front desk as well as garbage. You do not have many places to put clothes or toiletries, and some things may be outdated BUT I was in a mostly updated room where I slept very well, which is rare when I travel. The pillows and matress were very comfortable, the desk was nice for when I decided to work a little away from home, and the refrigerator and microwave were also up to par. The hardwood floors (or mock hardwood) were clean and made me feel better compared to carpeting. Overall, my stay was good though I had to spruce it up a bit to feel more "at home."

Easy booking and checking in. Staff are polite and very helpful. Price is exactly as advertised on line. Room is clean, no smell and good for one night stay.

Horrible in EVERY SHAPE WAY AND FORM. Our last night we didn't even stay, we left without ever going to bed and drove home 2 hours. The set up was weird with a down the hall then up the stairs to the left type of thing. It was very confusing and very inconvenient for carrying luggage in.We could not get more towels unless we returned the 2 used ones first and there was two women staying in the room who each need two towels per shower. The smoking rooms were all they had left and smelled so horrible that I never wanted to smoke again in my life. The windows would not open and it was like this room had not seen fresh air since the day it was built over 30 years ago. We only stayed here because every hotel in Toledo was booked. Next time I rather stay the night in my car and just shower at a truck-stop.
