NAWS Humane Society

Ive had both my male and female my cats fixed here at two separate times and each time went as smooth as possible. They took great care of my cats and they weren't traumatized or upset at all. The surgeries went great no issues afterwards and I couldn't be more satisfied. Plus both times they called early around 2:00pm and said they were ready but I didn't need to be there until 5:00 ... Which was nice because I was anxious to get my cats back! I missed them. Hahaha. Thanks NAWS. you guys are great.

We adopted Zeus at NAWS / Mokena and when we visited the other day they were very happy to see him and the feeling was mutual. It's easy to see how much they enjoy their jobs working with the animals they rescue and care for. I can't say enough good things about this facility and the people work there. If you are thinking of adopting a rescue animal check them out online and in person. Thank you NAWS !

The place looked really nice, inside and out, and I was very excited when we got there to look at dogs. I assumed they had a lot from their page on Petfinder and we drove almost an hour out to see them. However we couldn't even see the dogs because you have to make appointments. We both agreed that any place that refers you to a website instead of seeing the animal, playing, and getting to know their personality and behaviors, only cares about how "they're all total cuties, they all look so cute." We decided it is not a very good adoption model to encourage people to only look at online information and pictures rather than seeing the dogs reactions in person. The staff was nice and gave us a flyer to look online, but we will not be adopting through them, for sure.

A week ago we had to make the unfortunate & extremely heartbreaking decision to put our beloved pup down. While very difficult, NAWS made the entire process comforting from the very beginning process to the very end & showed much compassion. NAWS realizes the animals they care for are more than just pets, they are family members.

Adopted these two knuckleheads from there over the past year. Great place that really cares about the animals.
