Friendly staff except for one grouchy lady behind the counter that greeted (?) us.
After driving for 25 minutes and getting there right when they opened we missed out on a little kitten named Moo Moo because someone got to him first. But we did get another cat that was purfect for us.
If you're looking for the perfect pet this is the place. All of God's creatures here are well taken care of. All of the critters looked happy and well adjusted.
Good place to adopt a pet.

I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE
Our family had planned to adopt a dog. We went to their website to see all of the available dogs. We found a dog that the entire family loved. When we first arrive, I felt it was completely unorganized unlike Chicago Paws where we had first adopted our cat. The front desk was completely rude and gave confusing information about our next step in the application. At the first day, They told us we needed the entire family to arrive in order to allow the dog to meet with a cat in order to know whether or not he will be good with a cat. On the second day, Once the entire family had arrive they brought out all the files and shots for the dog. After 10 minutes with meeting the dog, They completely ignored us and left us standing in the room for 30 minutes. We left the room and approached the front desk. They told us that we needed a house check, however after a few day I never received any phone call. I checked the review and found many people had the same experience as I. Soon enough without any information, the dog we wanted to adopt had been removed from the available dog list. RUDE AND DISORGANIZED. The volunteers were very nice and caring. I would advocate a change for the members in the front desk.

I had wanted to adopt a dog. It wasn't my first time adopting an animal from paws. I had an excellent experience at the Chicago Paws. However at Tinley Park, the front desk staff members appeared to be unfriendly. They displayed a "not-caring" persona with new customers. They attempt to show affection to the dog; however not only did they crammed the dogs in small kennels close to one another, they reject many applicants and rather let the dogs be in the kennels. I thought I was the only person singled out by them until I had seen other reviews. I believe the front desk staff members need further training.

Staff seemed apprehensive to work with us from the moment we walked in, they never greeted us or asked if we needed help. A volunteer standing near us was kind enough to help us get started and let us know we needed to fill out a form first. All of the volunteers in the back were great, very friendly and informative. Staff at the desk wouldn't even look at the paperwork of the dog we were inquiring about, they just rattled off what they claimed to know about the dog from memory, continuously referring to the female dog as "he," telling us the dog was food and toy aggressive and that she is not allowed toys even though the dog in question had one when we were in the back and a volunteer reached into her cage and the dog did not react. This experience has turned us off from ever adopting from this facility. It is clear the staff here are not easy to work with, which is unfortunate for the animals here.

The volunteer who was with us gave us so much hope. We were so excited then we meet the front desk staff. She was so mean and so rude. They knew we were not getting the dog, never even mentioned home visits to us. Said they would call, since the dog we looked at is not on the site anymore I guess we shouldn't expect that call...this is why puppy mills exist.
