North End Cafe

This place is excellent. The staff we're polite and helpful, even when our children were being brats. We we're just in town for a couple days, and we took a gamble on this place, but it was a good experience. We had the spinach salad, vegan Reuben, pancakes, and a burger, so there definitely was something for everyone. Our two-year-old had a side of mashed potatoes, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Their wine and bourbon selection was great, and I had my first (and quite positive) experience with Kentucky bourbon. Definitely would recommend this place.

Love this place for brunch on a Saturday or Sunday. Food and service always great with daily specials. Lunch and dinner are nothing to sneeze at, but breakfast and lunch are where they shine. Don't forget to order a Bloody Mary

Food was really good. Had a young waiter who tried hard. But things got out of his control when the chef brought out my dinner before I had even had time to finish my large salad. My dates meal was great. Waiter was very attentive. We ate outside on a beautiful evening. Afterward we walked to a dessert shop, nereby, and had coffee and dessert. All in all it is a fabulous trendy area with beautiful gardens and lots of laughter and merriment.

I visited North End Cafe while in town for work and since being limited on time I called in a breakfast order. Morgan answered the call and when I requested if I could customize the order, Morgan worked out some substitutions that didn't compromise their menu and was a solution for my hopes to try a few items. When I arrived for pick up I was able to meet Morgan to thank her for her help and also other Staff who brought the order. On a side note, I noticed everyone showed care and consideration for guests currently dining and guests returned similar consideration for the Staff. The restaurant had a feeling of visiting a close friend. As for what I ordered, I had the vegetable omelet with a southwestern take to it and the biscuits and mushroom gravy, both were outstanding in flavor and portions. I revisited North End Cafe another morning before leaving the city. Fabulous people and excellent care for the food they share. Thanks to all who are apart of the North End Cafe team!

I've been to the Frankfort Ave. Location several times. The food has always been great as well as the service. The food always tastes fresh, and they have a reasonable selection of food. The bartender is very friendly and accommodating. It's a nice spot to relax and get a more local feel. You could easily have a business meeting here, as opposed to Hilltop, Manhattan Project and Red Herring being more bar like.
